Welcome back all! We’re having two events on Friday, September 16th, and made a poster so you won’t forget. From 4 to 5 p.m. we’re holding a Town Hall Meeting at Espresso Royale (324 S. State St.), and from 5 p.m. to whenever people want to leave, we’ll be holding our PYS Happy Hour at Mash (211 E Washington St.).
On Wednesday, March 23 we hosted University of Michigan, School of Information professor, David A. Wallace for a #WOWSAA chat. Wallace has spent the last year in South Africa organizing the Global Information Engagement Program (GIEP). During his brief visit to the School of Information, Wallace made time to chat with our student chapter. Here is the link to the Storify of our event.
On Friday, March 25th our members were treated to a tour of the newly renovated William L. Clements Library. The library has been under renovations for over a year and will be open to the public on April 11th, 2016. We were lucky enough to host Society of American Archivists President Dennis Meissner on Wednesday, February 10th. We would like to thank the Project Archivists of the Bentley Historical Library for letting us speak with Meissner as a part of our #WOWSAA series. SAA gathered our tweets into a Storify that can be found here.
We’ll be hosting a peer advising session Wednesday, Nov. 11th at Noon in North Quad 1282.
